After more than ten and a half levels of live poker action at the Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City, the final table has been set in the 2026 Gods of Poker Taipei II Main Event. Out of a field of 520 total entries, the largest slices of the NT$ 17 Million guaranteed prize pool are still up for grabs when the winner is set to be crowned on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

Perhaps it comes as no surprise that the two of the most aggressive contenders can be found near the top of the leaderboard. Seven players from Taiwan are aiming to keep the trophy on home soil for the flagship tournament of the festival held in cooperation with the local CTP Club.

Leading the way is Tsu Yun Yang who five-bet jammed ace-king suited in the final hand of the night to take a chunk out of the stack of Daeyoung Park to bolster his stack to 13,715,000, while the South Korean dropped just outside of the overnight podium with 9,565,000.

Second in chips is the only other player from outside of the country, Singapore's Ravn Teo (12,385,000), who already carried over the largest stack across the five starting flights into Day 2. Sheng Hung Kao bagged up 9,850,000 in chops which is good enough for third place and he was responsible for bursting the final table bubble after winning a classic flip with pocket jacks against the ace-king of the always talkative Chia Hsiang Ko.

Final Table Seat Draw

Seat Player Country Chip Count Big Blind
1 Chieh Wei Lee Taiwan 4,775,000 32
2 Ravn Teo Singapore 12,385,000 83
3 Yu You Ci Tsai Taiwan 1,600,000 11
4 Daeyoung Park South Korea 9,565,000 64
5 Sheng Hung Kao Taiwan 9,850,000 66
6 Tsu Yun Yang Taiwan 13,715,000 91
7 Sin Ren Chen Taiwan 2,530,000 17
8 Hung Te Lee Taiwan 4,680,000 31
9 Yu Jui Chen Taiwan 3,135,000 21

On the final table bubble, the chip stacks on both tables experienced heavy swings and perhaps the one to suffer the most was Sin Ren Chen. He left five big blinds behind against Hung Te Lee, quadrupled once thereafter and high-fived everyone from the outer table when he made it through with the second-lowest tally of 2,530,000. Lee was running hot to become the run-away chip leader on the final two tables only to fall from grace and advance in the middle of the pack with 4,680,000.

That's still worth 39 big blinds, though, with 28 minutes left in level 20 at blinds of 100,000-150,000/150,000. For the final table, the action will switch to hand-based number during each level instead of the usual 60-minute clock.

Final Table Payouts

Place Prize (in NT$) Prize (in USD)
1 3,424,400 $107,800
2 2,079,800 $65,472
3 1,403,400 $44,179
4 1,014,600 $31,940
5 770,100 $24,243
6 606,400 $19,089
7 491,000 $15,457
8 406,600 $12,800
9 342,900 $10,794

The final nine players have already locked up at least NT$ 342,900 for their efforts, however all of them very likely have their eyes set on the stunning GOP gauntlet trophy and top prize of NT$ 3,424,400. All of the action from the final table will be available with cards-up coverage and Chinese commentary on a 30-minute delay on the Gods of Poker YouTube channel.

Across the five starting flights which each played down to the money, a total of 73 players secured a cash prize and returned to their seats at half past noon local time. The early stages were actually rather timid as only one player busted in the first half an hour.

Chia Yun Wu dashed a bad beat to Hayato Kitajima during the very first few hands with sixes versus queens and Japanese pro never recovered from that to bow out in 54th place eventually. Among the early casualties were also Lance Goh, Charles Tsai, GOP Manila 2026 finalist Aleksei Zhukov, Jie Zhang and Ori Kossonogi. The latter turned the nut straight but aforementioned Park rivered a full house.

Malaysia's Jeremy Chan mounted a short stack comeback but bowed out in 41st place, soon followed by the "one chip behind master" Taehwan Kim in 39th place for HK$ 84,200.

On the bubble to the final three tables, Kristof Segers was aiming to collect a multi-way single-raised pot with ace-queen suited but Paulus Wijaya looked him up with ace-king to oust the always dangerous Belgian.

Another storyline was American Dakota Anderson, who not only reached the final table of the last GOP Manila Main Event but staged a heads-up comeback to take down the title. Anderson arrived a few days ago here in Taipei and jumped into the Special Boosted Edition of the Titan Stack in which he finished ninth.

Anderson used the Main Event ticket from that deep run to enter Flight D, back up a solid stack and get involved in many of the pots early on Day 2. Eventually, he became short on the final three tables and three-bet jammed ace-ten. Tsu Yun Yang called with king-jack and spiked a jack on the turn to deny a possible back-to-back victory in 26th place for NT$ 111,900.

Harry Halim went from one of the big stacks to the rail in 21st place when he clashed one too many times with Yang. His missed flush draw and rivered two pair ran into the nut straight of the eventual chip leader for the final table.

Day 2 raced towards a rapid conclusion when Vinay B and Paulus Wijaya jammed dominated pairs for a lot of big blinds, especially considering that their exits were accompanied with bustouts on the live stream table as well.

One of the most accomplished and experienced players still in the mix was Hong Kong's King Lun Alan Lau, who eventually succumbed to a short stack in 12th place. Sin Ran Chen rivered a straight from three big blinds to quadruple and stay in contention before Jui Heng Tsai ran with fours into eights.

Eventually, it would be Ko who was silenced and stunned after losing a flip to bow out in tenth place to conclude the action for the night. All nine finalists will return to their seats at 12.30 p.m. local time on the live stream table inside of the Asia Poker Arena to determine the champion.

The button is in seat three and nearly all of the finalists are in their seats on time for the cards to go in the air. Level ten is underway with blinds of 8,000-16,000/16,000 and a staggering average of 54 big blinds.

Let's get ready to rumble!

It was a mountain to climb - perhaps even the Olympus itself – to reach the NT$ 17 Million guarantee in the flagship Gods of Poker Taipei II Main Event as only 145 entries has been recorded prior to the final day of flights. Nearly 600 were needed for the NT$ 33,000 buy-in to cover the ambitious goal and it turned out to be too tall of a task despite very respectable numbers in the final two flights at the Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City.

Flight D became the largest of all five with a staggering 208 entries of which 29 players made it through, whereas the turbo Flight 1E added another 167 entries to the equation. In the end, the field was set with an attendance of 520 entries to provide more extra value to all participants at Taiwan's number one venue for live poker events.

A new overall chip leader was crowned today as Singapore's Ravn Teo ran hot during the bubble period in Flight D to amass a staggering 2,735,000 in chips. The local king of trash talk Chia Hsiang Ko (2,044,000) had about as many chips as well but lost a late all-in to drop to second place, just ahead of Thailand's Chanyoot Ruangsakul (1,974,000) and Tsai Yu You Ci (1,900,000).

The blinds will resume at 8,000-16,000 with a big blind ante of 16,000 and the level duration increases to 60 minutes each from now on until the final table has been determined, after the tournament switches to 30 hands per level.

All players have locked up NT$ 63,800 for surviving their respective opening flight and reaching the nine-handed final table - if that shall be the case today - would secure at least NT$ 342,900 for the efforts. The winner is slated to take home the top prize of NT$ 3,424,400 and gorgeous GOP Main Event gauntlet trophy.

Today's action will also be broadcast with cards-up coverage and commentary on a 30-minute delay on the Gods of Poker YouTube and CTP Club Twitch channel.
