Day 1C is a wrap! From a turnout of 67 entries, Yi Cheng Lo closed the heat as chip leader with a stack of 1,632,000 (65 big blinds). Lo was a force to reckon with at his table taking command before sending Dylan Foster to the rail just ahead of the bubble.

It was another strong showing in what has been a successful series for Lo, who already has a high roller side event victory and a runner-up finish at the GOP Super High Roller.

At his heels was Boris Sun with 1,601,000 (61 big blinds) who got Gemmy Tue An to commit all of her chips to deliver the bubble and end the day.

The bubble lasted just one hand with Gemmy Tue An calling to her doom against Boris Sun.

The hand kicked off with a raise from Gemmy and Sun called from the big blind position to take the action to the flop.

The dealer spread a flop of 6 ♣️ 2 ♣️ 3 ♣️ and Sun took the reins with a 75,000 bet. Gemmy called and action repeated on the turn A ♥️ with a 100,000 bet from Sun.

Again, Gemmy called then was put in the hot seat when Sun jammed on the river 10 ♦️ with a covering stack.

After laying out her time chips, Gemmy used one up then slammed in the call and showed 2 ♠️ 2 ♦️ set.

However, it was dead in the water with Sun revealing 9 ♣️ 8 ♣️ flush at the flop.

Dylan Foster met his end on the soft bubble with Yi Cheng Lo bringing down the hammer. The hand started with a raise from Lo then everyone folded around to Foster who three-bet jammed. Lo snap-called.

Out of the cutoff seat, Nakai Yamamoto opened for 70,000, button Chisa Matsutani three-bet to 210,000, then small blind Jin Bo tanked.

After using up two time extensions, Bo four-bet to 440,000. This got a quick fold from Yamamoto while Matsutani tanked. Although she could afford to call, Matsutani tanked then folded.

Foster checked again, Lo double barreled 123,000, Foster called and the river tabled 10 ♠️.

One more check from Foster, Lo backed down and checked as well.

Three players in on a raised pot to 96,000 brought a flop of Q ♣️ 6 ♥️ 8 ♥️. Preflop aggressor Chien Te Lee continued for 45,000 and got one player to fold while Chisa Matsutani continued to defend on the big blind.

The 6 ♦️ turn slowed down both players for a free river card of 9 ♥️. No more checking for Matsutani who fired 150,000 to send Lee into the think tank.

Lee emerged with a fold for Matsutani to rake in the pot with a showdown of hands.

Registration for Main Event Day 1C closed with 67 runners and 52 players remaining. Blinds now increase every 40 minutes. They will play down to ITM of 10 players.

That brought the cumulative turnout o 135 entries. There are still two flights remaining, both taking place tomorrow May 21at 12:30 PM and 6PM.

Cards are now flying at Day 1C of the Main Event! Today's flight will run two registration levels of 120 minutes each, closing at the start of Level 3 at exactly 5:00 PM.

For those that sign up in the first level, you begin with a deep 120,000 = 120 big blinds and 20 time banks. Keep in mind, there will be no reload on time banks, that's all you'll receive for the rest of the event so manage your time wisely!

For those that sign up at the second level, you enter with 60 big blinds and 17 time banks, and for those that choose to max-reg. once registration closes you still have a healthy 30 big blind stack and 14 time banks.

Currently, the Main Event has drawn 68 entries with 10 players through to the ITM stage and are now guaranteed a share of the KRW 700,000,000 (~USD 480,000) guarantee and a shot at the Black-and-Gold Gauntlet. The player to measure up to is Kyung Min Lee who bagged a massive 1,729,000.

To claim a share of the pot, players need to survive the flight bubble which is at 13.5% of the field.
