The bubble has been delivered! Taking the hard fall was Hiroyuki Otake who jammed with A ♣️ 6 ♣️ and got called by King Chun Horace Leung with Q ♠️ Q ♦️.

The flop of 2 ♦️ 4 ♣️ 4 ♥️ was no help to Otake while the turn 3 ♦️ gave him more outs, but the river did not produce it with the 7 ♠️ arriving.

Hyuga Nishiguchi denied, Chun Yu Ma celebrates

On just the second hand of the bubble round, action folded around to the small blind Hyuga Nishiguchi, he jammed his big stack. Big blind Chun Yu Ma tanked then tossed in the one-chip call, putting himself at risk.

When the cards were on their backs, Ma was ahead and just needed to fade Nishigushi's live cards.

Chun Yu Ma: A ♠️ K ♣️

Hyuga Nishiguchi: J ♠️ 7 ♥️

As soon as the flop landed 7 ♦️ 5 ♠️ Q ♣️, the rail erupted with Nishiguchi jumping ahead and the bubble bursting a high possibility. The turn 6 ♥️ drew more roars from the rail then the river K ♦️ denied the bubble as Ma paired up and celebrated his catch.

Two players have just been given the boot to bring the field down to 18 players which means, it is now bubble time to ITM.

The recent fallouts were Kohei Suzuki and Tharit Nanthana at separate tables. Suzuki jammed on the small blind with K ♣️ J ♣️ and got called by big blind Dong Yan who had A ♣️ 4 ♣️.

The board ran 8 ♣️ Q ♠️ 6 ♣️ 7 ♥️ A ♠️.

For Nanthana, he shoved his short stack with 9 ♥️ 8 ♠️ and Sascha Manns called on the big blind with Q ♥️ 6 ♥️.

Nanthana connected on the flop 5 ♥️ J ♠️ 8 ♥️ then burned on the turn 7 ♥️ with a flush made by Manns. The river Q ♠️ was of no consequence.

Cards speak for another takedown by Shingae Daiki. Taking the fall was Ryuta Tsutsumi on a cooler.

Tsutsumi looked down at A ♣️ K ♣️ and shoved, nextdoor neighbor Daiki had A ♦️ A ♥️ and no brainer snap-called.

The board ran queen high and just like that, another pot shipped by Daiki while railing in the process.

Hsing Hsiung Tai

Hsing Hsiung Tai got involved in near back-to-back hands that sent him up then to the rail. The first showdown was against Koki Masada who was in desperation mode.

Masada was all in with A ♣️ 3 ♥️ and was in trouble against Tai's who flipped open A ♥️ K ♣️.

The board dropped a king on the flop which seemed to seal the win for Tai until a three on the turn to pair up Masada. The much anticipated river was blank and was no help to Masada to pack up while Tai scooped up his chips and climbed to 375,000.

A couple of hands after, Tai three-bet jammed on the big blind and initial raiser Shingae Daiki called with a covering stack.

Hsing Hsiung Tai 10 ♥️ 9 ♥️

Shingae Daiki: A ♦️ Q ♦️

The board ran low with both players missing for Daiki to take down the pot and send Tai to the exit.

The hand opened with a raise from Daiki who then snap-called Henzan's shove.

Kyota Henzan: K ♠️ 9 ♦️

Shingae Daiki: A ♣️ J ♣️

A nine peeked in the window and as it ran out 9 ♣️ 10 ♣️ 8 ♠️ 6 ♠️ 6 ♦️, he rubbed off the sweat and collected his reload.

Following that hand, Glenn Marsom lost a showdown against Seung Chul Tyler Jennens with Q ♠️ 10 ♠️ behind Q ♣️ J ♦️.

Unable to catch a break, Marsom went three-bet all in with his last 138,000 and got looked up by initial raiser Ma.

Marsom was behind with K ♥️ 5 ♥️ against Ma's A ♣️ Q ♣️. The board bricked to end Marsom's flight run just seven spots to ITM.

Haisheng Qiu opened from middle position and again Dong Yan put the heat on with a three-bet to 75,000. Qiu answered with a four-bet jam and this time it was Yan who tanked. Yan eventually tossed in the call and was slightly ahead with his ace.

Haisheng Qiu: K ♠️ Q ♣️

Dong Yan: A ♠️ 8 ♠️

The flop 9 ♦️ K ♦️ 4 ♦️ instantly improved Qiu which held through the turn 7 ♦️ and river 5 ♠️ to pull in a reload.

Dong Yan 345,000
Yoshiki Shibata

The action was picked up with Kohichi Shimizu all in, and a bigger side pot was built between Haruki Kawashima and Yoshiki Shibata.

At the flop 7 ♦️ J ♣️ 6 ♣️, Shibata jumped out with a bet of 75,000 then claimed the side pot with Kawashima folding.

For the main pot, Shibata turned over 7 ♠️ 6 ♠️ two pair, Shimizu had A ♦️ Q ♠️. The turn J ♦️ sealed the sweep for Shibata and the river was a meaningless 4 ♦️.

Earlier in a hand, Takamasa Kojima sent Glenn Marsom tanking when he defended his big blind with a big shove. That seems to be his M.O. as he was seen all in twice and both times his opponent used up time chips.

Takamasa Kojima: Q ♥️ 9 ♣️

Glenn Marsom: A ♦️ 2 ♦️

Marsom had just a marginal lead with his ace with Kojima's cards live. The flop 8 ♦️ 8 ♠️ J ♣️ gave Kojima more outs for the straight. The turn 5 ♥️ changed nothing until the river 9 ♠️ improved Kojima to two pair and he muscled up for his catch.

Looking for the ace, the flop paired Koh's lower card instead 7 ♣️ 5 ♦️ 8 ♦️ though still behind Wu's aces. The turn Q ♦️ changed nothing, then the river 7 ♥️ saved him with trips for a shocked and happy win while Wu grunted in disappointment.

It's official, Day 1D registration closed with 122 entries. For those that missed the window, there is still one flight left to jump in and have a chance at the title and Black-and-Gold Gauntlet.

With cards now back in the air, 89 players are seated and will play down to 17 remaining which is 13.5% of the field.

Today is your final chance! The GOP Incheon Main Event closes registration with its last two flights today starting at 12:30PM for Day 1D and 6PM for Day 1E.

FLIGHT DATE START TIME OPENING LEVELS END OF REGISTRATION POST-REG BLIND LEVELS
Day 1D May 21 12:30 60 mins/ 120 mins 15:45 30 mins
Day 1E May 21 18:00 60 mins/ 120 mins 21:15 20 mins

And there is serious value on the table.

With 135 entries recorded so far, the Main Event currently sits in overlay territory and will need a minimum of 350 entries to fully cover the guarantee. For players still on the fence, this creates one of the best opportunities of the festival: a massive guaranteed prize pool regardless of whether the field reaches the target.

For a buy-in of KRW 2,200,000 (~USD 1,500), players receive a starting stack of 120,000 — a deep 120 big blinds at the opening level. Even late entrants are far from short. Jumping in at Level 2 still provides 60 big blinds, while max late registration before Level 3 closes leaves players with a very playable 30 big blinds.

So far, the player everyone is chasing is Kyung Min Lee, whose towering stack of 1,729,000 chips equals more than 14 starting stacks and currently sits at 144 big blinds based on the lowest uncompleted level.

Follow the action via the live reporting which begins at the close of registration at 15:45.
