The second flight of the 2026 Gods Of Poker Manila Main Event has concluded inside of the Grand Ballroom of the five-star City of Dreams Manila Luxury Hotel Resort & Casino. Another five players entered before the start to bring the field size up to 39 entries and the top six finishers were guaranteed a portion of the PHP 30 Million prize pool.

Five of the six to make it through after a rather short-lived final day of this split flight already had chips at their disposal the previous evening. However, Australia's David Wang had been busy in other High Roller contests and claimed the trophy in Event #46 Hyper Turbo High Roller that he took advantage of the late registration prior to the start with 30 big blinds.

Within the first two hours of play, Wang had increased his stack more than five-fold and knocked out at least two opponents including John Tech. The Aussie didn't stay at the top of the leaderboard for the entire duration but still advanced with a very healthy 500,000 in the end.

Instead, it was Rodolfo Dela Fuente who soared to the top of the chip counts after he burst the bubble. On the last table, Dela Fuente cold four-bet jammed pocket aces for a ton of big blinds and three-bettor Lukasz Jankowski called with kings only to get shown the bad news. Dela Fuente then three-bet called the four-bet shove of Taiwan's Cheng-Pin Hsu and remained ahead all the way with ace-king versus ace-queen to bag up 1,296,000.

The bubble burst at blinds of 5,000-10,000 / 10,000 and that means the restart of Day 2 in the money will roll back to at least that level. It appears to be very unlikely that any of the remaining flights will reach their money stage earlier, however.

South Korea's Seunghee Park had topped Day 1 the previous evening and carried over the momentum to advance with 1,219,000. He was joined among the six survivors by fellow countrymen Eunseok Choi (1,007,000) and San Kang (171,000). Jonald Garcia completes the line-up of those making it through with 482,000 in chips.

Full chip counts are to follow shortly, a recap of today is published later tonight once the Flight C action has concluded as well.

David Erquiaga

Apologies for missing the action until the river of a K ♣️ K ♦️ 4 ♦️ 10 ♠️ Q ♥️ board between David Erquiaga from under the gun and Seunghee Park in the cutoff but the table chat at the end made for quite a funny update.

Erquiaga had checked with a healthy 40 big blinds behind and Park pulled the trigger by moving forward his entire stack of T-25,000 chips. Erquiaga used two time banks and folded, Park claimed the pot with a smirk.

"If you have a bluff you have to show," Erquiaga said and then put the possible hands of Park on J ♦️ 9 ♦️ .

Czardy Rivery guess it to be A ♦️ 9 ♦️ for the straight and nut flush blocker but Park didn't reveal anything ... yet.

Well below that average is Poland's Lukasz Jankowski but his 225,000 is still a very solid 45 big blinds. He just three-bet an open raise to 10,000 and a call to 45,000, which forced out both opponents including Shenglai Zhang one seat over.

Five New Entries for Flight B

By Christian Zetzsche

Six players bought into Day 2 to increase the field size to 39 entries of which 20 players now remain and the new faces are almost exclusively High Roller contenders of the festival so far. Rudy Edenata, David Wang, and Gary Thompson were joined by David Erquiaga and Taiwan's Cheng-Pin Hsu.

At 12:30 p.m. local time, the 2026 Gods of Poker Manila Main Event continues with Day 2 of Flight B, which has attracted 34 entries throughout the nine hours of deep-stacked poker play yesterday. Only 15 players bagged up chips last night and South Korea's Seunghee Lee is so far way out in front with a towering stack of 757,500.

He will be the man to catch inside of the Grand Ballroom at the five star City of Dreams Manila Luxury Hotel Resort & Casino but his advance to the money stages is far from certain, as each of the five flights in the flagship tournament is playing down to the top 13.5% of the field to be secured a cash prize.

Second in chips is Finland's Petteri Miettinen (424,500), while fellow South Korean Eunseok Choi (393,000) is in third. Shenglai Zhang, who has already won a trophy during The Arena of Champions, returns with 388,000 followed by Pandora's Mystery Bounty runner-up Lukasz Jankowski with 369,000.

Among the shorter stacks making it through are John Tech (95,000) and Ronald Haverkamp (85,000) whereas the late registration for Flight B is still open until the cards go back in the air at half past noon.

The recommencing blinds will be 2,000-4,000 with a big blind ante of 4,000 and that gives all late entrants a total of 30 big blinds. Each level for Day 2 of Flight B features a duration of 60 minutes each.

Flight C is also scheduled to run alongside tomorrow as well with the start set for 2 p.m. local time. Two 120-minute levels of late registration are followed by 35-minute levels until the bubble has burst which may actually happen at nearly the same time for both flights today.

The final two flights take place tomorrow on Thursday, August 27, 2026 and represent the last chance to enter the PHP 82,500 buy-in, which comes with a massive PHP 30 Million guarantee. Don't wait too late, as the late registration closes much earlier than all traditional tournaments thanks to the Cronus Structure!
