Champions And Leaders Highlight GOP Jeju Day 3

Day 3 of the Gods Of Poker unfolded at LES A Casino in Jeju Island, South Korea, where another wave of champions rose at the inaugural Eden Awakens festival. Running from December 5 to 14, 2025, with 80 tournaments and KR₩ 2 Billion (~USD 1.4 Million) in guarantees, the series continued to build up. Here are the latest highlights and results.

Xiaosheng Zheng Dominates Super High Roller Flights

Xiaosheng Zheng bags overall SHR Day 1chip lead

A new wave of elite players found their way into the GOP Super High Roller bringing a total of 38 entries spread across two flights. With each one posting the KR₩ 10 Million buy-in, the prize pool surged over double, settling at a richer KR₩ 342,798,000.

Day 1 Recap

Among the fresh arrivals were Filipino pros Marc Rivera, Mike Takayama, and John Tech, however they all missed the mark. On the upside, China’s Xiaosheng Zheng overcame the challenges, bagging the overall largest stack. At Zheng's heels was Demigods Challenge champion Seunghyun Michael Nam. Both Zheng and Nam secured their positions via Flight A. 

The Filipino woes continued when two-time series side event champion Vamerdino Magsakay bubbled Flight B. 

Meng Ling Lin

Before the fall, Meng Ling Lin snap-called all-in with A ♠️ 2 ♠️ and Magsakay had A ♦️ 3 ♥️. A perfect flop followed for Lin to double up on a board of 4 ♠️ 5 ♠️ 9 ♠️ 8 ♦️ K ♣️. 

On the next hand, Magsakay shoved again and was joined by the larger stacked Hong Jun Zhao. Magsakay was flipping with K ♣️ Q ♥️ over Zhao's 6 ♣️ 6 ♦️. Though he improved at the flop, Zhao turned the two-outer to send Magsakay fuming on a board 9 ♠️ K ♥️ J ♥️ 6 ♠️ Q ♣️. 

The final seven players will return on Monday, December 8 with blinds starting at 10K-15K ante 15K. They are all guaranteed a minimum payout of KR₩ 16,320,000 (∼USD 11,100). Awaiting the champion is the KR₩ 122,438,000 (∼USD 83,300) top prize and the mighty Gold Gauntlet.

Yosuke Kesiya Builds a Stronghold At Titan Stack

GOP key event, Titan Stack, played out Day 1 across three flights, drawing 170 contenders into its arena. With a buy-in of KR₩ 900,000 (∼USD 610), the prize pool remained at a solid KR₩ 150,000,000 (∼USD 102,000).

Flight Leaders

After the final bubble was delivered, standing well above the 25 survivors list was Japan’s Yosuke Kesiya, who amassed a commanding stack, equivalent to 115 big blinds entering the final day. 

Shung Er “Terry” Sua bags second largest Titan stack

Malaysia's Shung Er Sua set the pace when he bagged up an impressive 1,241,000 (77 big blinds) at Flight A to earn him the overall second largest stack.

After Renniel Galvez  was eliminated at Pandora's Mystery Bounty in 10th place, he sought redemption at the Titan Stack where he closed the night at the top of Flight B with 841,000 (52 big blinds). 

The final 25 players return on Monday, December 8 where they will race to the next Silver Spartan trophy and the KR₩ 35,770,000 (∼USD 24,300) champion's purse.

Danil Karpov Conquers Pandora’s Mystery Bounty

Pandora’s Mystery Bounty concluded over two days, drawing 189 warriors across four action-packed flights. Only 27 players survived the first day's trials, returning for the final stage where the biggest bounties were in play.

After nearly eight hours, Danil Karpov delivered Yohn Paredes a very cold defeat to seize the Silver Spartan trophy and the largest collection amounting to KR₩ 27,730,000 (∼USD 18,900).

Champion's Run

The final day opened with Jeorge Lagatuz towering over the field, and just behind, though not too close, was Danil Karpov. As the field downsized, command shifted as Yohn Paredes marched into the final table with the largest stack.

Eliminations quickly followed leading to Lagatuz exiting in 5th place. Paredes continued to strengthen his position by knocking out Sanjay Chaudhary in 4th place. During the hand Chaudhary three-bet shoved with pocket jacks only to fall to Paredes’ trips sevens, which improved to a full house.

Si Wei Wang followed next, running into Karpov’s pocket aces to set the final showdown with Paredes ahead in the count. 

Once heads-up began, Karpov took immediate control, winning nearly every hand while Paredes was frozen, unable to shake the pressure. Grinded into the danger zone, Paredes finally took a stand with K ♣️ Q ♥️ and was still denied by Karpov's 10 ♣️ 10 ♦️ on a board that finished off J ♥️ 8 ♥️ 10 ♠️ 4 ♠️ Q ♠️.

Biggest Bounty Winners

Si Wei Wang draws biggest bounty

In addition to the champion, a few players also landed the spotlight when each drew one of the coveted biggest bounty prizes worth KR₩ 6,750,000 (∼USD 4,600). 

The first to do so was Renniel Galvez who finished in 10th place. Jiang Wang was next to find the lucky prize just before he bowed out in 12th place. And the final bounty was drawn by Si Wei Wang, whose 3rd place finish made him the event’s overall second-highest earner.

Hanh Tran Makes It Happen At Limit Triple Draw Lowball Mix

It was only a matter of time before GOP Mix Game Advisor Hanh Tran captured a Shield trophy, and that moment arrived at Event #18: Limit Triple Draw Lowball Mix A-5, 2-7. Tran outlasted Yosuke Sekiya at heads up to claim the title and a payout of KR₩ 3,675,200 (∼USD 2,500), while Sekiya earned KR₩ 2,200,000 (∼USD 1,500) for his runner-up finish.

Though Sekiya narrowly missed lifting the coveted new merch, he quickly rebounded. Sekiya proceeded to bag the largest at the Titan Stack key event to position himself as the leading contender for the Silver Spartan trophy.

Arlene Rivera Wins Aphrodite's Event

Philippine player Arlene Rivera made her arrival at the GOP count. As one of the five ladies that joined the Aphrodite’s Event, Rivera went heads-up against the more seasoned Maureen Bloechlinger and overcame to win the elegant gold Mirror Trophy and a payout of KR₩ 2,592,000 (∼USD 1,760). 

Yang Lu Earns a Shield At NL Single Draw Lowball Mix Turbo

Another mixed game played out, the NL Single Draw Lowball Mix Turbo A-5, 2-7 with 10 runners taking interest. In the end, China's Yang Lu had the best spread to deny Alfie Adam a second series title. In addition to the Shield trophy, Lu was awarded the KR₩ 2,182,000 (∼USD 1,485) top prize while Adam settled for KR₩ 1,640,000 (∼USD 1,115). 

Kazuhiko Murayama Wins Hyper Turbo - Power Button

Shorlty after Japan's Kazuhiko Murayama finished in 21st place at Pandora's Mystery Bounty, he regrouped and entered Event #23: Hyper Turbo - Power Button. 

As one of the nine players that signed up, he faced off against Filipino pro Mike Takayama for the title and emerged victorious to secure the Shield trophy and a payout of KR₩ 2,160,320 (~USD 1,470). For Takayama, he still earned a slight profit with a payout of KR₩ 1,300,000 (∼USD 885).

Brian Green Redeemed At Hyper Turbo - High Roller

The last Shield trophy of Day 3 landed in the hands of USA’s Brian Green, who triumphed in Event #24: Hyper Turbo High Roller. It was his second score of the series having finished 4th in Event #1: GOP The Opener for a satisfying rebound after bubbling the Super High Roller earlier in the day. 

Green topped the nine-player lineup, ultimately defeating Sanjay Chaudhary heads-up to win KR₩ 5,831,200 (∼USD 3,970) and his first GOP Shield trophy. 

Jianfeng Sun Binks A Shield At Hyper Turbo

At Day 2 of GOP Jeju, China's Jianfeng Sun earned a Shield trophy for his victory at the Hyper Turbo along with a payout of KR₩ 3,266,160 (∼USD 2,220). Sun outlasted the 17 entry field, defeating Yoon Shen Ding for the title. Ding earned KR₩ 1,960,000 for his efforts while Yosuke Sekiya finished in 3rd place for KR₩ 1,310,000.

The Gods of Poker Jeju is just hours away from launching its crown jewel Main Event featuring a KR₩ 1 Billion (~USD 700,000) guaranteed prize pool. This is the crucible of the series where the last player standing will raise the lone Black-and-Gold Gauntlet and be honored as the first-ever Gods Of Poker titan.
