GOP Taipei: The Titan Assembly Wraps Up In Multi-Winner Spotlight

The gods have spoken, the gauntlets have been claimed, and the final echoes of battle have faded as the Gods of Poker Taipei: The Titan Assembly reached its thunderous conclusion at the CTP Asia Poker Arena.

Across eleven days that ran from January 8 to 18, the brand's signature Cronus Structure rewarded those who dared to strike early and often, resulting in multi-winners, some even on the same day. In the end, no performance stood out more than Martijn Gerrits, whose campaign earned him an incredible 14 cashes to be crowned the undisputed Player of the Series.

Gerrits' List of Cashes

For Gerrits' achievement, he was awarded the crown trophy and US$ 1,500 in GOP tournament credits. 

Finishing in second place was Heng Zhe Hu who cashed in six events which included a last day crushing victory at the Kraken Stack Event. He was awarded US$ 1,000 in GOP tournament credits.

Li Chih Feng completed the podium finishes in 3rd place for US$ 500 in GOP tournament credits. Feng was bumped down by Hu on the final day of the games. He closed the series with six cashes which included three titles. 

Multi-Winners

Ma. Arlene Rivera wins five

Matching Gerrits in total wins was Ma. Arlene Rivera, who left the Aphrodite Events seeing double… then triple… then five-fold, sweeping five titles and five Aphrodite Mirrors. That was nearly half of the ladies events trophies on the shelf! Rivera's Aphrodite Mirror collection has now grown to seven having initially won two at the GOP debut in Jeju last December.

Alfie Adam finishes with four wins

Alfie Adam struck again at the Gods of Poker festival with four wins out of ten cashes. He now adds a fresh batch of GOP hardware to the two trophies he claimed at the GOP debut in Jeju last December. 

Kelly Tasman

Several players walked away with two wins on a single day, among them was Kelly Tasman  who then closed out her successful series run with another title on the penultimate day. In total, she cashed in six events. 

Other single day double winners were Edgar Asehan, David Erquiaga, Chia Hsiang Ko, and John Niko Costiniano.

Gauntlet Champions of GOP Taipei

The Gauntlets of the Gods were not given lightly. Across the games, four gauntlets were seized at flagship high roller events and the mightiest of all was hoisted at the Main Event with Chih Wei Fan sharing in facebook, “the boss is back!”
