The Dawn of Gods Of Poker - GOP Jeju 2025

For months, the name alone has stirred curiosity and now a new titan has entered the Asian poker arena. Gods of Poker has arrived. Welcome to the brand’s inaugural event. 

Today, Eden Awakens.

Set on the stunning volcanic island of Jeju in South Korea, it is the perfect backdrop for the ten-day inaugural series, taking place at LES A Casino, Jeju Shinhwa World Resort from December 5 to 14, 2025.

Featuring 80 tournaments and KR₩ 2 Billion (~USD 1.4 Million) in guarantees, the event will be unlike any mortal has ever experienced. For the first time, an entire schedule is built around a structure that breaks every convention - the newly forged Cronus Structure - GOP’s signature format that closes registration after just two levels.

GOP Main Event

At the heart of Eden Awakens stands the Gods of Poker Main Event, a KR₩ 1 Billion (~USD 700,000) guaranteed competition designed to challenge even the most battle-tested warriors of the felt. This is the crucible of the series where the last player standing will raise the lone Black/Gold Gauntlet trophy as a symbol of dominance in Eden’s garden. 

The GOP Main Event runs from December 8 to 13 with four starting days and one final chance to enter at the start of Day 2. The event’s deep structure kicks off with every player on level ground with a massive 120,000 stack, equivalent to 120 big blinds.

• Day 1B: December 9 at 12:30 PM
• Day 1C: December 9 at 6:00 PM
• Day 1D/Day 1: December 10 at 2:00 PM
• Day 1D/Day 2: December 11 at 12:30 PM
• Day 2: December 12 at 12:45 PM
• Final Day: December 13 at 12:45 PM

All Day 1 flights play to ITM / 13.5 percent of the field. Day 2 plays down to the Final 18 players or Final 9, depending on the number of entries.

Opening Day

The first clashes of this new poker pantheon is now underway with eight events breaking ground. Early title seekers, night flyers, ladies, and high-roller enthusiasts, the lineup holds a path for every kind of mortal entering Eden’s gate.

GOP The Opener

The day’s main spotlight shines on GOP The Opener, where the champion will raise the first-ever Silver Spartan trophy - a proud helm in homage to the warriors who carve their names into legend. This is the first of six silver Spartan trophies set to be awarded throughout the series.

Along with the trophy, the event carries a KR₩ 100,000,000 (USD 68K) guarantee. To have a chance at the prize pool, buy-in is KR₩ 500,000 (USD 340). This event offers players a taste of the journey ahead, with all three flights running today.

At the time of writing, Flight A was already in motion, with registration closing at 2:45 PM. For those who missed that gate, Flight B begins at 3:30 PM (registration closes at 5:05 PM), and another chance to enter The Opener arena comes in Flight C, perfect for evening warriors and late arrivals which starts at 6:00 PM and closes at 7:35 PM. The final qualifier, Flight D, begins at 9:00 PM, sealing the first key event's final list by 10:15 PM.

All flights will bag up once ITM is reached. The survivors will then return for the Final Day on Saturday, December 6 where the first Silver Spartan will be crowned. 

Single Day High Roller Event

Meng Ling “Candy” Lin

Another road to immortality opens in today’s Single Day High Roller, where one of only seven Gold Spartan Trophies awaits the player who rises above the field. Among those vying for the prize are Taiwan star Meng Ling “Candy” Lin, KPC’s first champion Joris Michl, Filipino standout pro Vamerdino Magsakay, and seasoned internationals Ryan Plant and Brian Green. 

As added incentive, the first 12 entrants in each Single Day High Roller event will receive a rake back rebate ranging from ₩125,000 to ₩215,000.

Aphrodite’s Events

Honoring the goddesses of the felt, Eden Awakens features daily Aphrodite’s Events, each celebrating the power and presence of women in poker. Champions will be awarded the beautifully crafted Mirror Trophy. 

High Roller Events

For the arena’s elite, High Roller events are prized arenas where reputations are forged. Eden Awakens offers a daily slate of games, but the true tests of might are the Gauntlet Events that stand above the rest. As added incentive, the first 12 players of each of these events will receive a rake back rebate ranging from ₩275,000 to ₩387,500. 

GOP Player of The Series

To wrap it all up, throughout the series, players will compete not only for individual glory but for the chance to ascend as the ultimate warrior of Eden, enshrined as the inaugural Gods of Poker - Player of the Series. The player that amasses the most points will earn the singular GOP Crown Trophy and USD 1,500 in GOP Tournament Credits.

For second place, USD 1,000 in tournament credits will be awarded and for third place, $500 in tournament credits.
