Andrew Han Hoists Gauntlet At Titan Stack High Roller; Last Chance To Enter The Main Event

Celebrations were in full swing at Day 7 of the Gods of Poker Taipei: The Titan Assembly as Australia’s Andrew Han emerged as the newest champion after conquering the Titan Stack High Roller. Taking place at the CTP Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City, Taiwan, Han outlasted the 25-entry field and defeated Seung Hyuk Jung heads-up to hoist the stunning Rose Gauntlet and claim the lion's cut of NT$ 1,123,200 (∼US$ 35,500) out of the NT$ 2,808,000 (∼US$ 88,900) prize pool

Han's victory didn't come easy as Jung wrestled away the chip lead at heads up. Han continued to dip until a flush over flush cooler flipped the counts in his favor. Jung mounted a comeback, but was ultimately denied when ace-nine ran into Han’s pocket queens.

While that event was hunting down its champion, Flight D of the NT$ 21 Million Guaranteed Main Event was just getting started. The flight featured the longest Cronus Structure format of four hour blinds. Across the eight hours of registration, 146 signed up with 81 survivors at bagging time led by Kiyoung Kim.

Registration is still open for this flight however not for long as it closes at the start of Level 3 on Thursday, January 15. For those making a last dash for a spot in this flight the window closes at 12:30 PM. Entering players start with a 120,000 stack, equivalent to 30 big blinds.

The daily highlights would not be complete without acknowledging the side event winners. Among the latest, Chia Hsiang Ko binked two events, while Ma. Arlene Rivera added her third series Aphrodite Mirror to an already impressive collection.

The GOP Main Event has drawn a cumulative 387 entries with 38 players through to the money round. With three flights all done and dusted, there are only two options left for interested players to sign up and have a chance at the NT$ 21 Million prize pool and at the coveted Black-and-Gold Gauntlet. 

• Enter before the starting buzzer of Flight D - Day 2 which kicks off at 12:30 PM
• Enter Flight E which starts at 6:00 PM with registration running for a total of 3.5 hours, closing at exactly 9:30 PM.

Day 7 Winners

Chia Hsiang Ko

The awards shelf has thinned out significantly with 68 trophies now claimed. On Day 7, Chia Hsiang Ko locked up two events to take home a Spartan Gold and a Shield while Ma. Arlene Rivera continued her impressive run, capturing her third Aphrodite Mirror of the series. 

One name not seen above is Martijn Gerrits whose five day winning streak was put to a halt. Gerrits failed to cash at Day 7 but he still holds the lead in the Player of the Series race.
