Woo Hyon Shin Stages Comeback Then Busts

by Tricia David • May 18, 2026 - 4:31 AM

Down to just 1,500, Woo Hyon Shin went all in on the next hand and got very lucky against Anh Le Nong.

Woo Hyon Shin: 10 ♥️ 8 ♣️

Anh Le Nong: A ♦️ A ♠️

The board ran 10 ♣️ 10 ♦️ 3 ♥️ J ♦️ 2 ♦️ for instant trips to Shin on the flop and the double up.

Shin's luck continued with another double up holding A ♥️ 8 ♥️ that cracked Van Dao Duong's K ♣️ K ♦️ with an ace finding the flop.

This was followed by a triple up with A ♠️ Q ♠️ on a queen high board to rise to 40,000 until Valeriy Pak joined the table.

Shin shoved one last time on the small blind with rags and Pak denied him the steal, defending with jack-ten that held. Shin became the first casualty of the Main Event.
