After the dealer fanned a flop of 6 ♦️ 5 ♠️ Q ♠️, O'Brien continued for 4,000 and still the two leeched on to bring them to fourth street.
The 8 ♠️ had O'Brien fire a larger 13,000 bet and this time only Chiu called to complete the runout with an K ♠️ river. With four spades now on the board, O'Brien triple barreled 25,000 sending Chiu to the think tank for two time-banks before he opted to give up his stake in the pot.
As he raked in the pot, O'Brien commented to Chiu, “the river saved you.”
