Thanh Cao Nguyen opened to 250,000 from the cutoff with the A ♣️ K ♥️ and Marc Rivera in the big blind came along holding the 6 ♥️ 5 ♦️ to the 4 ♦️ 4 ♠️ 2 ♠️ flop.
Rivera check-raised from 150,000 to 550,000 only for Nguyen to click it back to a smooth million. Rivera opted to call and improved on the 6 ♣️ turn. Nguyen checked back to the 2 ♥️ river and paid off a single big blind on the river to get shown the bad news.
