Joshua Figuerres - 9th place

Kazuki Okamoto delivered Joshua Figuerres a brutal knockout but before it took place, the hand opened with an unsuspecting raise from Okamoto at hijack. Big blind Figuerres called.

Both players checked the flop to head to a turn board 3 ♦️ A ♣️ 2 ♦️ 8 ♦️. Okamoto slid out 500,000 and Figuerres check-raised to 1,000,000 leaving himself 850,000 behind.

Okamoto quickly answered with a shove. After using up his last time-bank, Figuerres risked his tournament life.

Joshua Figuerres: A ♠️ 10 ♣️

Kazuki Okamoto: A ♦️ 6 ♥️

Figuerres was looking good for a double up with his higher kicker until the river slapped down 6 ♣️ to crush his hopes on a brutal bad beat.
